Sickness benefit

If you are ill or injured and unable to work, you may be entitled to sickness benefit pay.

You are a member of the national insurance
You are under 70 years old
The reason you cannot work is that you yourself are ill or injured
You have been at work for at least four weeks immediately before you were sick
Your sick leave means that you must be away from work for at least 20% of your working time
Your income corresponds to at least fifty percent of the basic amount in the national insurance (1/2 G). This income limit only applies after the employer’s period, usually the first 16 days of the sick leave
